A charming 2 double bedroom house with stunning views over the Kyle of Tongue and islands - perfect for a short break or longer holiday. It has a well equipped kitchen, dining room, sunroom, comfy sitting room (with armchairs and a sofa plus a TV and DVD player), as well as two large double bedrooms. The bathroom has an over bath shower and washer/dryer. A great location as a base to explore by car, motorbike, bicycle or foot and an easy walk to a bar / restaurant.

- The house is located on a blind corner - Care must be taken driving onto the road from the drive/parking area.
- Well behaved dogs are allowed to stay but please do not let them upstairs or onto the furniture. A charge will be made if any damage is done.

The space
BEDS - We provide hotel quality Egyptian cotton bedding and towels for guests. The house price includes bedding for 4 people (2 double beds). No more than 4 guests in total are allowed.

CHILDREN - This property is not suitable for young children. There is no stair gate.....plus light coloured carpets throughout. Please contact us if you do not believe this is an issue for your group.

FOOD & DRINK - We provide tea and coffee making materials including milk and sugar. We do not provide breakfast however we send you the contact details for all the shops and restaurants in the area as soon as your booking is confirmed. The Talmine Post Office can deliver food into the property given more than 24hrs notice.

WIFI & MOBILES
WiFi is not available in the property. Mobile reception is patchy (depending on your network provider).
There is a TV and DVD with plenty of DVDs.
There are also several radios, games, and books.

ACCESSIBILITY
The property has one step to get into the front door however all bedrooms are upstairs and the staircase is narrow and very steep.

PETS
The property is pet friendly for a single well behaved dog - we even provide a treat tin for them! There is a securely fenced garden but please let us know if you are bringing a dog so we can do additional cleaning for the next guests. Dog mess bags are also available so please clean up after your dog in the garden area. Please do not let animals on any of the furniture or upstairs. We do not charge an additional cleaning fee for pets however we will charge if additional cleaning is required after your stay.
Guest access
There is a large fenced garden around the property with stunning views of the sea and islands.

Vehicles can be parked just outside the gate - so unpacking is easy!
Additional notes
The Scottish weather can make the garden, parking / driveway muddy so no dirty / muddy feet or paws beyond the porch/sunroom please (a dog gate makes this easy for dogs!).

The Talmine Post Office can deliver food into the property given more than 24hrs notice. Details of how to arrange this are provided on a message after your booking is confirmed.
Guest interaction
We operate a self check in and out system. You will be emailed / airbnb messaged your unique entry code the day before you are due to check in.

We will email directions to the property and instructions on using the key safe along with our contact phone and email details....please feel free to contact us with any questions or requests.

We are happy to arrange to meet guests if they are worried about using the self check in system.
Neighborhood overview
There is a book of local walks in the property along with an OS map.

Easy access to forest, cliff top and beach walks.

Walking distance to Talmine Post Office / convenience shop and The Craggan hotel (bar / restaurant) and Talmine and Skinnet beaches.

Approx 5 miles to the village of Tongue and its shops / post office / fuel / hotels (bar / restaurants).

Day trips to Orkney, John o' groats as well Durness are possible.
Getting around
Approx 2 miles to the NC500 route.

This is a great location for walking and cycling but is harder (but not impossible!) to access without a car of some kind having few scheduled buses.
